Advanced Pharmacy Academy, LLC (“APA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit advancedpharmacyacademy.com, request information, communicate with us, enroll in or participate in a program, use a student portal, attend an online event, or otherwise interact with our websites and services (collectively, the “Services”).

This Privacy Policy applies to prospective students, students, graduates, website visitors, and other individuals who interact with APA. It does not apply to the independent practices of third-party websites or services that we do not control.

1. Personal Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with APA.

Information you provide directly

We may collect:

• Contact information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, and preferred method of communication.
• Inquiry and enrollment information, such as the program you are interested in, enrollment status, state of residence, educational background, career interests, eligibility information, and responses submitted through forms, surveys, or consultations.
• Student and academic information, such as account credentials, course access, lesson and assessment activity, attendance, assignment submissions, grades, progress, completion status, certificates, support history, and exam-voucher eligibility or issuance.
• Payment and transaction information, such as billing address, purchase amount, payment status, financing selection, refunds, and transaction identifiers. Payment-card and financing information is generally collected and processed directly by payment processors or financing providers rather than stored by APA in full.
• Communications, including emails, text messages, calls, support requests, chatbot conversations, survey responses, and other messages you send to us. Calls or online sessions will be recorded only when notice or consent is provided as required.
• Externship, certification, and career-support information, if applicable, such as placement preferences, availability, resume information, certification status, and documents you choose to provide.
• Content and feedback, such as reviews, testimonials, photographs, comments, and other content you voluntarily submit. We will obtain any additional authorization required before publicly using a student’s name, image, or story for promotional purposes.

Please do not submit medical records, Social Security numbers, financial-account credentials, or other highly sensitive information unless APA specifically requests it through an appropriate channel for a legitimate purpose.

Information collected automatically

When you use the Services, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

• IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, language, and general location derived from IP address;
• pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, dates and times of visits, session duration, navigation patterns, and form interactions;
• advertising and campaign information, such as the advertisement or search term that led you to the website; and
• information collected through cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, session-replay or heatmap tools, and similar technologies.

Session-replay and analytics tools may capture how users navigate and interact with the website. We configure these tools to support website analysis and do not intend for them to collect payment-card details, account passwords, or the contents of sensitive documents. You should avoid entering sensitive information into fields that do not request it.

Information from other sources

We may receive information from service providers, referral or sponsorship partners, advertising platforms, payment processors, financing providers, educational platforms, and publicly available sources. For sponsored students, a sponsoring organization may provide basic eligibility or contact information and may receive limited enrollment or progress information as described at the time of sponsorship and permitted by law.

2. How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information to:

• respond to inquiries and provide requested information;
• create and manage accounts, process enrollment, and deliver coursework and student services;
• provide instruction, workshops, office hours, academic support, technical support, and student communications;
• track participation, progress, completion, and eligibility for certificates, exam vouchers, or other program benefits;
• process payments, financing, refunds, and related records;
• administer sponsorships, externship support, and other optional services;
• send administrative, transactional, educational, and support communications;
• send marketing communications when permitted by law and consistent with your choices;
• personalize and improve the website, courses, communications, and student experience;
• understand website traffic, measure advertising effectiveness, and develop outreach campaigns;
• detect misuse, protect accounts, maintain security, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements and policies;
• comply with legal, tax, accounting, accreditation, recognition, examination, and recordkeeping obligations; and
• establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and protect the rights and safety of APA, our users, and others.

APA may use automated or artificial-intelligence-assisted tools to help answer questions, summarize communications, organize requests, or route support. These tools may process information you submit. We do not rely solely on an automated tool to make a final decision about enrollment status, academic standing, program completion, refunds, or exam-voucher eligibility without an opportunity for staff review.

3. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

APA may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for website and account operation, remember preferences, analyze performance, understand user behavior, and measure or personalize advertising.

Our providers may include platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Microsoft Clarity, Kajabi, Zendesk, and similar services enabled on the website. These providers may collect device and activity information under their own privacy terms. Advertising providers may use information about visits to APA’s website to measure campaigns or show relevant advertisements on other services.

You can manage many cookies through your browser settings and any cookie-preference tool made available on our website. Blocking certain cookies may affect website or portal functionality. You may also use the advertising and privacy controls offered by your browser, device, or the relevant provider.

Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not interpreted consistently across the industry. Where required by applicable law and supported by our systems, we will process recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out of sale or sharing for the associated browser or device.

4. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to:

• Service providers and contractors that support website hosting, learning management, student support, email, text messaging, customer relationship management, analytics, advertising, payment processing, financing, bookkeeping, document storage, security, and professional services. They receive information as reasonably necessary to perform services for APA.
• Payment processors and financing providers that process purchases or payment plans you select. Their handling of financial information is governed by their own privacy policies and agreements.
• Educational, examination, and fulfillment partners when necessary to provide a requested benefit, such as an examination voucher, certificate, textbook, workshop, or other student service.
• Sponsoring or referral organizations when you participate through a sponsorship or partner program and the disclosure is described to you, authorized by you, or otherwise permitted by law.
• Government authorities, regulators, courts, and other parties when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or a valid government request; necessary to protect rights, safety, or security; or appropriate to investigate fraud or enforce an agreement.
• Parties to a business transaction, such as a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements.
• Other parties at your direction or with your consent.

APA does not sell personal information for money. Some uses of advertising cookies or pixels may be considered “sharing,” “sale,” or targeted advertising under certain state privacy laws even when no money changes hands. Where those laws apply, you may request to opt out as described in Section 9.

5. Text Messages and Mobile Information

If you provide your mobile number and consent to receive text messages, APA may send the types of messages described when consent is requested. Message frequency may vary, and message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchase. You may opt out of marketing texts at any time by replying STOP and may request assistance by replying HELP or contacting us.

We do not sell or share mobile numbers, text-message opt-in data, or consent records with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may provide this information to vendors that help us deliver messages, but only as needed to provide services on APA’s behalf. Opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties for unrelated purposes.

Opting out of marketing texts does not prevent APA from sending non-marketing messages that are necessary to administer an enrollment, account, payment, support request, or service you requested, where permitted by law. You may contact us if you wish to change your communication preferences more broadly.

6. Email and Marketing Choices

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the link included in the message. Even after you opt out of marketing, APA may continue to send non-promotional messages related to an inquiry, transaction, enrollment, coursework, account, policy update, or support request.

Withdrawing marketing consent does not affect processing that occurred before the withdrawal.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide Services, maintain student and completion records, meet tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law. Retention periods vary based on the type of information, the nature of our relationship, legal requirements, and operational need.

When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, de-identify, or securely archive it. Backup copies may remain for a limited period before deletion through ordinary system cycles.

8. Data Security

APA uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

9. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to request that APA:

• confirm whether we process your personal information and provide access to it;
• correct inaccurate personal information;
• delete personal information;
• provide a portable copy of certain information;
• opt you out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; or
• limit certain uses of sensitive personal information.

You may submit a privacy request by emailing support@advancedpharmacyacademy.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” Describe the right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for us to locate your records. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will use verification information only for that purpose.

You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law. We may request proof of the agent’s authority and may verify your identity directly. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. If we deny a request, residents of states that provide an appeal right may appeal by replying to our decision and stating that they wish to appeal.

These rights are not absolute. For example, APA may retain information needed to complete a transaction, maintain academic or completion records, detect fraud, comply with law, or establish or defend legal claims.

California disclosures

During the preceding 12 months, APA may have collected the categories described in Section 1, including identifiers, customer-record information, commercial information, internet or electronic-network activity, general geolocation, education-related information, professional or employment-related information, and inferences based on interactions with our Services. We collect these categories from the sources described in Section 1, use them for the purposes described in Section 2, and disclose them to the recipients described in Section 4.

APA does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. APA does not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit under the California Consumer Privacy Act. If our practices materially change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any legally required choices.

California’s “Shine the Light” law may permit certain residents to request information regarding disclosures of personal information to third parties for those third parties’ direct-marketing purposes. APA does not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing in the manner covered by that law.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and APA does not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information without legally sufficient parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information may contact us.

Minors who are old enough to use the Services but are not legally able to enter an enrollment agreement may require the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

11. Educational Records

APA protects student records as described in this Privacy Policy, applicable contracts, and applicable law. APA is a private career-training provider and does not represent that every record it maintains is governed by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”). When a law, sponsorship arrangement, or written agreement provides additional student-record protections, APA will follow those applicable requirements.

12. Third-Party Links and Services

The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party services. Those parties control their own privacy practices, and this Privacy Policy does not govern them. Review the privacy policy of any third-party service before providing personal information.

13. Visitors Outside the United States

APA is based in the United States, and the Services are operated from the United States. If you access the Services from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. APA’s programs and support are primarily designed for individuals pursuing pharmacy technician education or credentials in the United States.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our Services, practices, technologies, or legal obligations. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information already collected, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by law.
